Empty & Clean
WHAT CAN GO IN MY HOUSEHOLD RECYCLING?
All containers must be clean & dry
Recycling
The most impactful way we can make a difference TODAY is to minimize all waste – recyclable or not. Regardless of future markets and changing dynamics, the fact remains – the fewer resources we consume, the less waste. The good news is that there are a number of ways to do this and an abundance of resources to help educate and empower us to succeed! Some things we can do today, some will take time so let’s focus on what we can do RIGHT NOW to start.
There is a reason we hear about this concept so much. It’s simple and it works. San Juan Transfer Station has a Pinterest Page where we share ideas and links to help you find ways to Re-Think, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. We will also be updating both this website and our Facebook page with educational materials. This flyer is a great resource as well! Print it out as a daily reminder for what you can recycle.
Re-Think – be mindful of your consumption
Reduce – use less, buy less, avoid waste
Reuse – things more than once, repair, re-gift
Recycle – transform to something new
San Juan Transfer Station Participates in the E-Cycle Washington Program
E-Cycle Washington is a free program that makes it easy for Washington residents to recycle some of their broken, obsolete or worn-out electronics. Electronic products contain both valuable materials that can be recycled and toxic chemicals that should be kept out of the landfill.
